Bio: Ben was born to Beryl and Timothy Brine twenty three years ago.  When he was just three years old, he gained a little brother in Tony, and a lifelong friend in Stella.  In school he always excelled, growing into a smart, talented, and handsome young man.  However, he put a lot of pressure on himself to be so successful, and he has attempted suicide on at least one occasion in the past.  During his senior year, he developed feelings for Stella, but he was afraid to ask her to go with him to the senior prom, as he was certain she would reject him.  Thankfully, he mustered up the courage to ask her, and she accepted.  He now regards it as the best decision he ever made, and the two of them have been happily dating ever since.  More recently, when Olivia and Jess were introduced to the family, Ben was initially reluctant to accept them due to everything he had heard about Octolings in school, but once he heard their tragic backstory, he quickly changed his mind.
